Sustainable development is thought of as the type of development that balances the needs of the present, with the needs of the future. Yet in times of uncertainty as natural and economic systems shift and transform, how do we begin to understand our relationship to future outcomes?

In this episode on intergenerational justice you will hear from Corey Katz, a philosopher from Saint Louis University, as well as John Nolt, a philosopher from the University of Tenesse Knoxville. Together we explored this idea of cause and effect from both ethical and political lenses to explore how we might begin to understand the impact of our actions on vulnerable people who have no agency in the present with which to promote their interests.
